Rhyl and District RFC played their final pre season game at Tynewydd Field against a strong Colwyn Bay team in a close game bay came out winners by an unconverted try in the second half. With both teams showing promise after a long lay off, both clubs can now look forward to the start of the North Wales cup competition next week.
Rhyl Coach, Seb Vidal was pleased with the play of his players and again the youngsters who are in their first season of senior rugby showed immense promise for the future of the club. A good crowd were there to support the teams as they head back to playing full games with some adjustments to the rules due to the covid pandemic
Next week sees Rhyl start their cup games in a mini league along with Shotton RFC, Wrexham RFC and Mold RFC. Playing each other home and away over the next few weeks Rhyl start with the visit of Shotton RFC to Tynewydd Field. The KO is scheduled for 1-30pm in preparation of watching the British lions in the final test in South Africa
