Rhyl RFC 24- 0 Flint RFC

Rhyl moved into the next round of the North Wales intermediate cup with a hard fought win in difficult conditions at the Waen.  The visitors started well with some early drives towards the home line however once the dragons settled into their game they began to take control and it was only a matter of time before Reeve Wright went over for the first of an impressive brace of try's in an impressive performance which earned him the man of the match award from cup sponsors Conwy Land Rover.  The pattern for the game was set with Rhyl trying to use their extra quality to play an expansive game against a limited Flint side who to their credit battled hard for the whole game .  Further try's came from Greg Proffit and hooker Cail Hughes and despite some late pressure from the visitors Rhyls line held firm to ensure  a fourth straight win and a well earned break next week.
