Still with a depleted squad due to injury and illness , Rhyl turned out a much weakened team. They held the attacks from a strong Bay team for 15 minutes before the Colwyn team broke through with three trys and a penalty to lead 22-0 at the break. Half time talk from head coach Seb Vidal put some new life into the team who seemed to be controlling the game and scrum half , Owen Jones , dived over for the try with Llion Edwards converting. Eventually the fitter Colwyn team struck back with two converted tries to finish as victors at 36-7 Next Saturday Rhyl make the short trip to play Abergele in the Conwy Landrover North Wales Cup.
