Rhyl finished as victors for the second time this season at Bangor. In a lively game Rhyl’s defensive work paid dividends for the second week . Rhyl gained the first score when George Cliff powered over the line after some good phases in the Bangor 22. This was duels converted by the impressive Richie Williams. After a simple error on the Rhyl 22 the ball was overturned which led to Bangor scoring in the corner. With a Richie Williams penalty giving Rhyl a 10-5 lead going into the break. The second half followed a similar pattern of end to end rugby . Williams converted another penalty to give Rhyl an eight point cushion. Bangor kept pushing but the Rhyl defence was holding tight. Eventually scrum half Tom Jones broke through and scored the try , converted by Williams which gave them the 20-5 lead. Bangor never gave up and pushed forward but could not make the last move to score. This was yet another excellent game played by these two even teams over the past few seasons. Rhyl have had back to back league wins for the first time this season. Now into the international break with the next game a North Wales cup game against Flint on the 25th November
