Rhyl’s unbeaten league run continued wit an emphatic victory over old rivals Bangor. Tries by James Fisher-Jones,Will Morris (2) Ethan Woodfine, Reeve Wright and Jack Hughes with two conversions by Richie Williams meant the game was over at the break with Rhyl leading 34-0. Bangor had little answer to the Rhyl running game and were over powered in all areas.
The second half only produced the one try from scrum half Ian Marshall as Bangor defence tightened up but Banger never looked likely to trouble the score board.
Rhyl maintain their position at the top of the league with Mold having a game in hand on them and a better points difference close behind. The two games between these two teams look likely to be decisive in final positions in the league.
Next Saturday Rhyl 1st XV entertain Wrexham at Tynewydd Field which could be a tougher test for the Dragons.
