Rhyl youth v Mold Youth

Rhyl youth produced their best performance of the season on Friday evening against Mold youth, who themselves, turned Rhyl  over quite comprehensively earlier in the season.
 
A number of 16 year old's stepped up from the under 16;s, and played their first games for the the youth, and each one of them stepped up to the challenge. With Rhyl dominating the opening fifteen minutes, it looked like it might be a comfortable evening, but Mold showed a clinical side to their game, a couple of swift counter attacks and they quickly built up a 14.0 lead.
 
Rhyl showed composure and came back with a try from Paddy Nelson only for Mold to score a third try, before Paddy added a second try.
 
After the break it was end to end, but Rhyl did all the scoring with further tries from Adam "Woki" and Tommy Jones who also scored 3 conversions and 2 penalties, giving a final score of 32.19
 
The Rhyl Youth coaching team have got this side playing a very energetic, expansive game of rugby  and it bodes well for the future of Rhyl
