Rhyl 32-0 Bangor

The dragons completed the double over old rivals Bangor at Tynewydd fields in a game that despite the score line, they will probably feel could have been won in even more emphatic fashion.  Rhyl dominated possession from the kick off and it was only a matter of time before centre Stu Fell Crook went over in the corner. A further period of home pressure resulted in a try for prop Harry Lowe. A combination of some dogged Bangor defence and missed chances meant that was the last of the first half scoring.

Bangor started the second half with a brief spell of pressure on the Rhyl line but following some typically excellent home defence, stand off Richie Williams took advantage of some turnover ball to set off on a lung bursting 50 metre run and the offload to Tom Jones for a try under the posts converted by Williams. The remainder of the half was all about home pressure with a dominant set piece and Bangor unable to cope with rampaging runs from number 8 James Fisher Jones and man of the match, the outstanding Jack Parker.  Further scores followed from Damon Price, Replacement wing Che Hudson and a well deserved finale from Parker.

Rhyl seconds completed  a fine day for the club with a 55 points to 15 win against Flint.

Rhyl make the long trip to Dolgellau next Saturday for what should be a much sterner test against one of the promotion favourites.
