This was always going to be a tough game for Rhyl, All the Rhyl boys put in a full 40 minutes, whereas Wrexham had brought two under 11 teams, so had a constant supply of fresh players. From the kick off Rhyl played a very defensive game near their own try line, The Rhyl boys did very well to hold up a dominant Wrexham side, who were constantly on the attack. Dispite the trys coming one after the other for Wrexham, Rhyl had their own break outs, with some determined runs by Henry Jacobson and Osian Gittins into heavy traffic. The Rhyl boys rucking had inproved vastly and the ball was being recycled back into Rhyl possession time and time again. Second half brought more of the same an excellant run by Edward Tonks down the wing only to be taken into touch, from the lineout a battle ensued which saw the Rhyl boys looking for gaps in the Wrexham defence and some fast paced runs by Ellis Scourfield and MArley Campion into traffic, once again some great rucking by the team ensured the ball stayed in Rhyl possesion. In the dying minutes Rhyl had one attemp on the try line, only to be held up within touching distance of the line
