Rhyl 0 - 48 Denbigh

Rhyl 0 - 48 Denbigh

Rhyl entertained Denbigh at the Waen in this league and Conwy Landrover Intermediate Cup double Header. Rhyl found themselves battling against a more experienced and well drilled side.  Denbigh took the lead with a converted try and added to this with another try after Rhyl had been reduced to 14 men after Jason Blackmore was sin binned for ten minutes for his indiscretion. The first half ended 12-0 to Denbigh.
In the second half Rhyl's young side could not take the pressure from Denbigh who went on to score 36 unanswered points in the half to run out well deserved winners. They now go into the semifinal at home to Llangefni RFC. Rhyl wish them all the best in that game.
Conwy Landrover Man of the Match was Denbigh's Niall Duke.
Meanwhile Rhyl play a double header league game next Saturday at Holyhead RFC. A good win there would give us 10 points that would move us up the table prior to the split of the 2nd divisions for the next part of the season.
