Fixture

It was clear from the kick off that this was goin to be a tough game for the Rhyl side, with Colwyn Bay dominating play in all areas of the game, Rhyl put in some very determined attacks and made the very strong Colwyn Bay side work for their trys. Some very determined charges through heavy traffic by Edward Tonks, Marley Campion, Freddie Jones and Osian Gittins supported by the rest of the team in a valient attempt to find that elusive rty line. Some great tackles going in by Iestyn Bickerstaff, unfortunatly loosing posession of the ball at the breakdown. During the second half, Rhyl came ouyt a stronger team and prevented a number of possible Colwyn BAy tries and taking the ball to the opposite try line only to be held up inches short. But this didnt effect the moral of the boys, who continued to go through the phases. The only try of the game, followed a great run down the wing by Iestyn Bickerstaff, who off loaded to Henry Jacobson to continue the charge forward and finally to HArley Griffiths to drop the ball over the line and then converting it.
